The Corporate Council on Africa (CCA) has elected John Olajide as the new Chairman of the Board, effective January 1, 2024.
Mr. John Olajide will succeed Dr. Jeffrey L. Sturchio, who has served as CCA Chairman since April 2016 and will continue as a CCA Board member.
Olajide is a multifaceted individual who embodies the roles of entrepreneur, investor, innovator in home care, civic leader, global community builder, and philanthropist. He stands as the Founder and CEO of Axxess, a preeminent healthcare technology firm. Additionally, he holds the position of Chairman at Cavista Holdings Limited, a diversified investment and holding company spanning technology, agriculture, hospitality, fintech, energy, and various sectors. Since its establishment in 2007, Axxess has expanded its influence under Olajide’s direction, establishing a footprint across the U.S., Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and Africa.
Through his involvement with Axxess and Cavista Holdings, he’s making substantial strides in enhancing global healthcare access and generating substantial job opportunities across diverse industries. Serving as Vice Chair of the CCA Board of Directors since 2022, Olajide brings a wealth of visionary leadership experience to his new role. Notably, he served as the youngest-ever Chair of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee for the Dallas Regional Chamber of Commerce. In this capacity, he facilitated the attraction of businesses to one of the most thriving regions in the U.S. His appointment as CCA Chairman signifies a pivotal role in steering CCA’s mission and initiatives, poised to elevate CCA to greater heights in terms of membership growth, service to member companies, and partnerships between the U.S. and African nations.
