After the rumble kills at least 47,000 in Turkey and Syria, earthquake strikes again…
Two weeks after the prior quakes, another earthquake hit border towns in Turkey and Syria.
According to Aljazeera, the first earthquake had a magnitude of 6.4 and occurred outside of Antakya in the southernmost province of Turkey, Hatay, close to the city of Defne.
According to the report, Lebanon, Syria, and Egypt all felt the tremor.
Just southwest of the initial quake’s epicenter in Hatay’s Samandag district, a second tremor with a magnitude of 5.8 was felt several minutes later, according to Turkey’s emergency management organization.
The most recent earthquake, which killed at least 47,000 people and devastated a number of buildings, has hardly passed in Turkey and Syria.
