EGBIN POWER PLC REWARDS EMPLOYEES WITH CASH PRIZES WORTH MILLIONS!

The largest Power Generating station in Nigeria, Egbin Power Plc, has rewarded several employees with cash prizes and gifts worth millions of Naira for stellar performances and contributions leading to increased productivity and further growth of the business.

The 2023 Best Performance Dinner was recently held by GenCo to recognize and encourage employees and teams w ho have shown a high degree of devotion and great performance in their work throughout the previous year and the first quarter of 2023. Employees were rewarded in a variety of categories, including outstanding performance, innovation, QHSE, teamwork, and leadership. Benson Akindileni of the Maintenance Planning Department was named the Best Performing Staff and received a GS4 compact SUV. He was closely followed by Abdullahi Shuaibu of the Mechanical Department, who received N5 million in second place, and Omatseye Dasilva of the Procurement Department, who received N3 million in third place.

Endurance Otaru was named the Best Performing Female Staff and received N5 million, while the Instrumentation & Control (I&C) team was named the Best Performing Team and received N20 million for their efforts. Other category winners received awards ranging from N500,000 to N1m in acknowledgment of their contributions.

Speaking at the occasion, one of Egbin Power Plc’s Directors, Kola Adesina OFR, stated that the outstanding performance of the staff provided the required push for the company’s growth.

“We are proud of our employees, and it is our tradition to reward outstanding performance. Their hard work and dedication have helped our company achieve success and this is a show of our appreciation for their efforts. The employees being celebrated here have put together impressive performance and they have been able to deliver at optimal level within the organization, that is why we are celebrating them as a model to challenge and motivate others.”

He expressed optimism that Egbin Power Plc’s operations will improve because the initiative will further inspire the workforce as management continues to invest in human capital development to create a pipeline for the type of leadership required for the industry’s future growth and development.

Adesina promised that the organization would continue to use this platform to foster human capital development, sustainability, and encourage exceptional performance among employees.

Speaking during the event, Mokhtar Bounour, Chief Executive Officer of Egbin Power Plc, stated that the event is part of the company’s legacy of empowering and supporting people in driving high performance and recognizing their success, which delivers results for the business.
