STEVE BABAEKO NOW BECOMES PRESIDENT OF IAA NIGERIA

The President of the Association of Advertising Agencies of Nigeria (AAAN) and Chief Executive Officer of X3M Ideas, Steve Babaeko, elected as the President of the Nigerian Chapter of the International Advertising Association (IAA).

The announcement was posted on the global organization’s LinkedIn page. “Congratulations Steve Babaeko, the CEO/Chief Creative Officer of X3media for being voted as President of IAA Nigeria Chapter,” states the association’s congratulations letter.

It is noteworthy that the IAA is a global organization with a tripartite membership made up of industry experts from the advertising, media, and agency sectors. It was founded in New York, USA, in 1938, and today it operates in more than 70 nations.

Babaeko has been on the judging panels for the African Crystal Awards, the Loeries, and the New York Advertising Festival, continuing to represent Africa on a worldwide scale. Also, he spoke at the Cannes Lions Festival and was listed among the Top 100 Creatives in the World by Adweek in 2019. He also received the “Visiting Fellow” honor at the University of Reading’s Henley Management School.

Steve graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Arts from Zaria, Nigeria’s prestigious Ahmadu Bello University. In addition to advertising, he formerly served as the chairman of the Nigerian-American Chamber of Commerce’s public relations committee.
