SUNU Health Collaborates with Mobihealth for Telemedicine Solutions

SUNU Health Nigeria Limited has entered into a strategic partnership with Mobihealth to offer telehealth services to individuals covered by their insurance plans. This collaboration marks a significant milestone for SUNU Health, a company with a track record of providing health insurance solutions for more than two decades across Nigeria and various African nations.

Dr. Korie Patrick, the Managing Director of SUNU Health, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, emphasizing its potential to enhance healthcare accessibility and affordability. Dr. Patrick emphasized the growing importance of telemedicine and digital health tools in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. He stated, “Telemedicine is a highly convenient solution capable of addressing numerous medical challenges and mitigating the shortage of healthcare professionals in hospitals. Given the rising costs of transportation, prolonged waiting times, elevated fuel prices, and the prevailing economic conditions in the country, this solution couldn’t have come at a better time. SUNU Health is dedicated to delivering exceptional value to our clients, and embracing the latest advancements in digital health is the logical path forward. We are thrilled to partner with Mobihealth International, a renowned company recognized for its excellence on both local and global fronts. Through this collaboration, SUNU beneficiaries will gain access to healthcare professionals in Nigeria and abroad, right from the comfort of their smartphones, homes, or workplaces, around the clock.”

In addition to virtual consultations, beneficiaries will also receive prescriptions, diagnostic services, and referrals for in-person medical care when necessary.

Dr. Funmi Adewara, the CEO of Mobihealth, expressed her excitement about the partnership with SUNU Health, highlighting its significance in expanding access to quality healthcare services.
