Wema Bank has given prizes to the winners of the Wema Celebrates Teachers competition, as part of its dedication to fostering high-quality education and acknowledging the remarkable contributions within the educational sphere. According to a statement released by the bank, the program aimed to laud and honor outstanding educators who have made a substantial positive impact in the field of teaching.
During the event in Lagos, the bank awarded cheques to the top three teachers who emerged victorious in the competition. As per the statement, “Olawale Gbenusola from Vetland Senior Grammar School, Lagos, clinched the 1st place and was presented with a prize of N2 million; Raheem Hassan from Araromi Ilogbo Secondary School, Lagos, secured the 2nd position with a cash award of N1.5 million; and Adeniran Adedoyin from Dolphin Junior High School, Lagos, was awarded a cash prize of 1 million naira for the 3rd position.”
Expressing his thoughts at the ceremony, Moruf Oseni, the Chief Executive of Wema Bank, affirmed the bank’s commitment to fostering excellence and innovation in the education sector.
