WORLD HUMANITARIAN DAY: EGBIN POWER MAKES DONATIONS TO ORPHANAGES

Egbin Power Plc has donated food items, provisions, and educational materials to orphanage homes in Ikorodu to commemorate World Humanitarian Day 2023.

As part of the company’s commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, a group of Employee Volunteers from the company recently undertook visits to two orphanages – House of Chloe Orphanage in Ebute, Ikorodu, and Home of God’s Grace Orphanage in Itokin, Agbowa, Lagos. Their purpose was to bring joy to the children residing in these homes by presenting them with thoughtful gifts.

Felix Ofulue, the Head of Corporate Communications and Branding at Egbin Power Plc, expressed the company’s strong dedication to improving the lives of those less privileged. He emphasized that Egbin Power Plc is deeply invested in making a positive impact, both as an organization and as individuals.

Ofulue stated, “As a socially responsible corporate entity, this initiative is one of the ways we contribute to the well-being of the communities we operate within, demonstrating our support for humanitarian causes. Our commitment to aiding those in need is driven by our belief in empowering lives, fostering sustainability, and contributing to a better world. Thus, at Egbin Power Plc, we find it fitting to extend our support in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).”

The children at the orphanages were overjoyed to receive the gifts, expressing their gratitude to the Egbin Volunteers and the power generation company for their caring and supportive actions, particularly during a period when such gestures were greatly appreciated. The orphanages’ management also conveyed their appreciation to Egbin Power Plc for dedicating time and resources to uplift the children, thereby instilling a sense of hope for their futures.

Mrs. Grace Bosede Boluwajoko, founder of the Home of God’s Grace Orphanage, conveyed her heartfelt gratitude to Egbin Power Plc and its employees for their compassion, consideration, and warm interactions with the children. She expressed, “These provisions arrived at a much-needed time. You’ve brought smiles to these children’s faces. We are sincerely grateful for your benevolent deeds.”
