The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has released the 622 consumer tool-free number as the incident hotline for the 2023 Presidential Election.
The National Communications Commission (NCC) said in a statement that the tool-free number would allow citizens across the nation to report any problems that may affect them, or others, during the elections on Saturday, February 25, 2023. The statement was signed by Professor Umar Danbatta, the NCC’s Executive Vice Chairman/Chief Executive Officer. It added that the initiative is meant to support the effort of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), to ensure free, fair, peaceful and credible election.
It further stated that complaints could be sent to the appropriate agencies, authorities, or organizations during the election for prompt resolution and that they would be accessible to the public from 8 am to 6 pm on election day.
