Explaining the rationale behind the event’s theme and the various industry subjects to be explored during the conference, Alayande Stephen, the Project Director of NEMCEA 2023, remarked, “Our aim is to maintain ongoing engagement with stakeholders encompassing the entire business value system. The electronic media sector, with its focus on TV, Radio, and Online mediums, remains expansive and influential in Nigeria. However, it is imperative that we examine diverse business models across the wide spectrum of platforms that have been made possible by today’s digital space and technology. The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into our lives is a permanent fixture; therefore, we must harness its potential for our enterprises and capitalize on the global revolution it offers. Audience Measurement once again emerges as a pivotal factor in determining real-time viewership and engagement across diverse platforms. This vital information assists Advertisers (ADVAN), Advertising Agencies (MIPAN), Broadcasters (BON, IBAN), Regulators (ARCON, NBC), Content Owners & Producers (EMCOAN, ITPAN), Content Distributors & Aggregators, and others in effectively positioning programming and content that resonates with audiences, ultimately leading to a significant upswing in advertising investment within Nigeria. These, along with numerous other topics, are set for in-depth discussion and consideration during this year’s event.”
