During the MARKETING EDGE Annual Awards of Marketing and Advertising Excellence, a night filled with elegance and recognition, Adeola Amosun, the Media Manager at Tolaram Group, shone brightly as he was honored with the title of Outstanding Young Media Personality of the Year for 2023. This prestigious acknowledgement underscores his exceptional contributions to the marketing and advertising industries.
This star-studded event was graced by luminaries from Nigeria’s marketing and advertising realms. Among the distinguished guests were Mr. Udeme Ufot, the Group Chief Executive Officer of SO&U and Co-Chair of the THECS Policy Commission of the Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG); Dozie Mbanefo, the Chief Executive Officer of New Crystal, a highly regarded out-of-home advertising expert; and the Managing Director of DLK Oil & Gas. Notable figures such as Sir Steve Omojafor, the former Group Managing Director/CEO of STB-McCann; John Ehiguese, Founder and Managing Director of Mediacraft Associates; and Jaiye Israel Opayemi, Managing Director/Chief Strategist of Chain Reactions Nigeria, were also present, among other prominent personalities.
With more than a decade of unwavering commitment to media planning, content creation, and broadcast media, Adeola has unquestionably demonstrated his expertise in managing accounts for a diverse array of renowned brands. His impressive portfolio includes successful campaigns for industry giants such as Procter and Gamble, Coca-Cola, Diageo – Guinness, Beiersdorf – Nivea, PZ Wilmar, Mastercard, Oppo Mobile, Standard Chartered Bank, Dangote, Rida, Philips, PEP, Pay Attitude, Film House, Nokia, and many others.
Before joining Tolaram Group, Adeola held the position of Head of Planning and Strategy at Dentsu-owned Carat Nigeria. His contributions to the industry are well-documented and encompass notable projects such as the Pampers #MomsKnowBest campaign featuring Tiwa Savage, the successful introduction of JW White Walker in Nigeria, the rebranding of Mr. Dowell, and impactful campaigns for Oral B, Duracell, Standard Chartered Bank, Guinness, Nivea, and numerous others.
One of his significant accomplishments was effectively leading the agency’s response team for Beiersdorf-Nivea’s annual media audit, conducted in collaboration with Accenture and Ebiquity for five consecutive years, resulting in performance bonuses exceeding $100,000.
Adeola Amosun is a highly educated professional, holding an MBA from Nexford University, an Associate Membership of the Advertising Practitioner Council of Nigeria (APCON), and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
