Supported by the UK Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO), the project will involve the collaboration of various relevant government bodies such as NIMET, NASRDA, NIHSA, NEMA, and others. Additionally, the initiative will incorporate comprehensive desk-based research and consultations.

The joint effort aims to create enhanced communication protocols and products to effectively reach the most flood-prone states and communities in Nigeria, including Bayelsa, Lagos, Kebbi, Oyo, Kogi, and more, enabling them to make informed decisions that can significantly impact their livelihoods.

Scheduled to run for a period of 6 months, the project will encompass all 36 states of Nigeria, along with the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

Throughout this timeframe, McEnies Global Communications will play a crucial role in coordinating with local media channels in Nigeria, engaging in rigorous high-level discussions with government representatives and pivotal agencies to ensure the success of the project.

McEnies Global Communications, a Nigerian company recognized for its extensive expertise in strategic, integrated marketing services, and digital marketing, secured this partnership with FCDO and the UK Met Office in September 2023, as confirmed by the company.

The Met Office, renowned as the United Kingdom’s national weather service and an executive agency and trading fund of the Department for Science, Innovation, and Technology, is highly regarded for its meteorological forecasts across various timeframes, from short-term weather predictions to long-term climate change projections.

In response to this achievement, the CEO of McEnies Global Communications, Omolaraeni Olaosebikan, expressed her enthusiasm about the opportunity to further solidify the agency’s ability to provide clients in Nigeria and beyond with exceptional and enduring communication solutions.

She emphasized that the collaboration with the UK FCDO and UK Met Office underscores the company’s dedication to enhancing its communication services worldwide.

Highlighting the significance of Nigeria’s status as a key player in the sub-Saharan African economy, she reaffirmed the company’s commitment to leveraging its global network advantages and local professional expertise to offer strategic communication support to all clients. The newly established partnership with FCDO and the UK Met Office, aimed at developing communication protocols to mitigate recurring flooding in Nigeria and fostering meaningful dialogues tailored to vulnerable segments of society, positions McEnies Global Communications as a reputable and reliable entity known for its integrity, commitment to excellence, and adherence to industry standards and global best practices.
