Polaris Bank has continued to deepen its financial advocacy role of educating and inculcating in young Nigerians the culture of savings, investment and financial awareness during the 2023 Global Money Week event.

From March 20 to March 26, 2023, the annual Financial Literacy sensitization campaign with the theme ‘Plan Your Money, Plant Your Future’ was held worldwide to educate and raise awareness among students about financial independence and empowerment. The Bank’s representatives visited numerous schools to speak about topics such as earning and managing money, budgeting, and investing to provide students with a better understanding of how money works and equip them with the necessary knowledge and skills.

In partnership with the Central Bank of Nigeria and Junior Achievement of Nigeria (JAN), Polaris Bank conducted financial education campaigns in 37 schools across Nigeria, including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), during Global Money Week (GMW) 2023. More than 4,000 students were reached and educated by senior officials of the bank, who also donated books to the libraries of all the schools visited.

GMW is an annual worldwide campaign aimed at promoting financial literacy among young people, empowering them to make sound financial decisions and achieve financial resilience.
