Four Mint Companies  Authorised by CBN to Print Cheques.

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has authorized four local businesses to print checks in the nation, according to a circular released by the Director of the Banking Services Department, Sam Okojere.

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has approved four firms as accredited printers and personalizers of cheques. The approved companies are Superflux International Limited, Tripple Gee and Company, Yaliam Press Limited, and Marvelous Mike Press.

The accreditation process was conducted by the CBN in collaboration with the MICR Technical Implementation Committee, following the qualification criteria of the Nigeria Cheque Printers Accreditation Scheme (NICPAS).

The updated list of accredited printers and personalizers was released on May 4, 2023, and includes the aforementioned firms.

In addition to the accredited firms, the circular also mentioned that seven banks have been approved as personalizers of cheques. These banks are Zenith Bank Plc, Ecobank Plc, Stanbic IBTC Bank Plc, First Bank Ltd, Keystone Bank Ltd, Wema Bank Plc, and Providus Bank Ltd.
