NIMN Ikeja Inaugurates New Executive Committee

The Ikeja division of the National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria (NIMN) has inaugurated recently elected executive members who will lead the institute for the next two years.

The swearing-in ceremony and the presentation of certificates to the new executives took place at the Berger Paints ‘Training Centre, Oba Akran Ave, Ikeja, Lagos on October 18, 2023. The electoral process was overseen by Ayoola Akomolafe, the head of the Electoral Committee.

The newly elected executives comprise Dr. Kehinde Joda as Chairman, Sir Jellily Efedi as Vice Chairman, Chima Augustine Ibiam as Secretary, Anthony Daniel Igumah as Assistant Secretary, and Eric Birhiray as Financial Secretary. Additionally, Justin Akalezi serves as Treasurer, Titilope Josephine Osinfowokan as Social/Welfare Officer, and Stephen Okwudili Okoh as the Public Relations Officer.

In his acceptance speech, Dr. Kehinde Joda, the new chapter Chairman, expressed gratitude to the members for the opportunity to serve. He appealed for the support of stakeholders in realizing the chapter’s vision, emphasizing his administration’s commitment to fostering platforms for sharing marketing insights, leveraging technology, and empowering members.

“Our vision for the NIMN Ikeja Chapter is one that emphasizes unity, innovation, and excellence. It reflects the fundamental values of our profession and our dedication to the marketing community. We aim for a chapter where collaboration leads to a momentous agenda, embracing diverse perspectives, dynamic approaches, and innovative solutions to any challenge that may arise,” Dr. Joda stated.

He emphasized the importance of being disruptors in the field, adapting to change and technology to stay at the forefront of marketing trends. Dr. Joda envisioned the chapter as a knowledge hub where marketing professionals can gain insights, exchange expertise, and foster lasting connections.

Akomolafe, speaking on behalf of NIMN President Idorenyen Enang, encouraged the chapter to develop initiatives that would propel the institute forward. He urged the new executives to work collaboratively, demonstrate dedication to service, build upon the achievements of the past administration, and implement strategies to enhance membership.

Former Chairman Adebayo Oke highlighted the cost-saving measures and the new meeting venue implemented during his tenure. He urged the new executives to build upon these achievements and elevate the chapter to new heights.
